Event Guidelines

Introduction

Greystone requires all attendees of events to adhere to the below guidance in order to make the experience safe, secure and enjoyable for all participants.  

Expected Behavior   

  • Be considerate, respectful, and collaborative.  
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behavior and speech.  
  • Be suitably attired in accordance with the recommended dress code of the event.   
  • Greystone employees are expected to comply with Greystone’s Workplace Safety guidelines as provided in Greystone’s Employee Manual.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert event staff if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.  
  • Do not attend a Greystone event if you are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms of illness.  

Unacceptable Behavior   

Unacceptable behaviors may include but are not limited to:  

  • Any form of harassment including harassment based on race, color, citizenship status, ethnicity or national origin, ancestry, genetics, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, religion, parental status, physical or mental disability, marital status, veteran status, political affiliation, or any other factor protected by law, in any form, whether verbal, physical, or environmental.  
  • Possession of a weapon or any item that can be used as a weapon, which may be used to threaten or cause injury to others if used in a certain manner.  
  • Any destruction or vandalizing of personal property or event site or materials.  
  • Possession of any open can, bottle or other receptacle containing any alcoholic beverages, except in areas specifically designated for the consumption of alcohol.   
  • Being intoxicated, as determined by Greystone, in any event venue or function. Please drink responsibly.  
  • Possessing any illegal substance. Greystone does not tolerate the use or abuse of illegal substances anywhere in the event venues.  
  • Smoking outside of designated areas.  
  • Assembling for the purpose of, or resulting in, disturbing the peace, or committing any unlawful act or engaging in any offensive behavior.  
  • Any other illegal activity not already covered above.  
  • Showing disrespect for members of the public in event venues shared with Greystone events.   
  • Failure to obey any of the rules or regulations of the event venues or instructions of the event staff.  

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior 

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, a member of the Event Team or a representative from the venue may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the event without warning and if appropriate involvement of local law enforcement.  

If you Observe Unacceptable Behavior or Suspicious Person / Behavior / Package   

GENERAL

In the event of an emergency, dial 911 to activate the medical emergency services and notify a member of the Events Team.    

GREYSTONE EMPLOYEES

If you have a complaint or concern about harassment, discrimination, bullying or any other conduct that violates Greystone’s Workplace Safety Guidelines, we encourage you to tell an event staff member, report the incident to the Human Resources, Compliance, or Legal Team, or call Greystone’s Ethics Hotline at 844.732.6236.  

OTHER ATTENDEES

If you have a complaint or concern about any conduct during the event, we encourage you to tell an event staff member. After the event, incidents may be reported to the Greystone Ethics Hotline at 844.732.6236.
