Mr. Kaye focuses on the origination and structuring of affordable housing debt products. His experience in community development finance includes affordable housing debt and LIHTC equity, State, Historic and New Markets Tax Credits, syndications, CRA-focused private equity, CDFI investments, as well as private placement and Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA debt products. He comes to Greystone from Regions Bank where he originated multifamily affordable debt and equity and held similar roles at Bank of America and Citigroup. He started his career with the New York City Economic Development Corporation and worked on Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s “South Bronx Initiative” to redevelop and revitalize the South Bronx. Jason graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Binghamton University. He also holds a Master of Regional Planning from Cornell University with a focus on Economic Development, an M.S. in Real Estate Finance from NYU, and was a Senior Executive Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Jason currently serves on the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale. He has lectured on community and economic development finance at a number of universities as well as advised local government officials.
